Post to make u feel jealous. Hur hur. Went to Amara Hotel International Buffet on Sunday nite to celebrate Amy jie jie's birthday. Happy Birthday Amy!!!

Quite expensive lar (40 Bucks!!!), and the selection quite few, but the food was damn good. Like really good. Got Beijing Duck lar, Teppanyaki lar, damn super fresh salmon and LOBSTER!!! Shit i'm sounding like Mervyn and his food blogs. Anyway, lazy to write more so enjoy the scrumptious pictures. Ha.

Random picture taken of the buffet spread. If u squint enough, u can see the duck behind the man. Its slowly rotating on the spit so it looks damn delectable lar. Anyway this part serves the cheese oyster, shark's fin, cod fish, and all tat. The cod fish was power. Damn fresh.

My first plate of food!!! Haa. See got oyster, salmon, lobster, squid. Everything expensive one. I damn tan jiak.
At high class restaurant even the sushi lay out is unique.

Fwah. I was damn impressed with the spread for the sushi dressing so i take photo lor.

The absolutely scrumptious, delectable spread of fresh seafood. The prawns were damn fresh lor. I ate like 20. Ha. Eh 40 bucks lei. Muz make my money's worth.

Lobsters!!! Oysters!!!! But i buay tahan oysters. I neh si took one down, and almost puked. Edmund power lar. Ate like 10 or something. Ha. Think his past life he muz have been a pearl or something, stuck in the oyster's belly. So now he exacting revenge. Ha.

MY favourite Beijing Duck!! There's a chef at the restaurant whose sole job is to slice the crisply bbq-ded duck into slices and put it nicely into the popiah skin, along with the cucumber, onion, and sweet sauce. Power lar. I ate like 20. Almost a whole duck. Hur hur.

Fresh prawns and something known as **** mussels (cant remember the name)

Desserts!!! This is some truffle thingy. Damn nice lar!!! But cos we were rushing to watch Hard Candy (wah damn psychotic and sick, tell u all next time) we din eat too much of the desserts. Wasted lar.

Mango pudding, Chocolate truffle, and other assorted truffles!!! Fattening, sinful, smooth desserts!!

ME and the birthday girl!!! I look so demure hor. Haa.

Edmund and Huey, with our uneaten desserts.

Ok off to watch soccer liaoz. Pont-anging my lesson tml!! Woo hoo!!

Something weird happened today on the MRT. After sweating it out with my huge bag and laptop on the way to the MRT Station, i was sweaty with perspiration and giving out a macho vibe. Anyway, i was sitting on the train, waiting for it to leave, when i instinctively felt someone staring at me. I glanced to my right, and lo and behold, this creepy uncle was looking straight at me.

I looked away (as one always does when he realises someone is beo-ing him), thinking that maybe the uncle was just struck by how handsome i looked. I then looked back at him again.

He was still staring at me.

Then i thought maybe he was staring at the scenery behind me, or at the window pane or something. So i looked behind me. There was nothing there. So i looked back

He was still staring.

So i did what any guy would do in those circumstances. I looked down surreptitiously at my zipper on my jeans. Zipped ma. Then i looked at my shirt to see whether there were some stains or something. But nothing lei. So i took a deep breathe and looked at him again.

Ma de. He was still staring!

Damn freaky lar. I know i handsome, but uncle, need to stare so long meh??

I wanted to take some photos of my spanking new campus, but i forgot to take those scenic photos in my haste to get out of the 'construction site' after my 3 hr seminar. Hai...Anyway, i realised i'm damn behind in my blogging lar. Supposed to hlog finish my Taipei trip and also abt my NDP experiences (I appeared on TV!!!)

Neh mai, i slowly hlog. Oh, before i do so, i need to bitch abt something. My timetable.

Monday: 10-12 at NUS, 3- 9.30 at BTC
Tuesday: 3-9.30 at BTC
Wed: 6.30-9.30 at BTC
Thur: 6.30-9.30 at BTC
On 4 Saturdays in Sep: 1-4 pm at BTC

Oh, and i still haven't bid for my M n O tutorial slot yet. Yes folks. At a time when everyone is enjoying the warmth of home, or enjoying the riotous roads of Orchard Road on a Saturday, i am freezing in a highly powered air-conditioned room, listening to weirdly accented professors regaling me with tales from China.

But before you gloat!!!

Ah ha!!

By the 7th of Sep, i'll only have a 3 day week, with 2 days in BTC

& by the 3rd of Oct, i'll only have 1 day in BTC, and 1 in NUS. Ho ho ho.

Ok i'm quite bo liao i know. Anyway, here's Day 2 of my Taipei trip, as hotly requested.

Taipei Day 2!!!

Us just stepping out of our hotel. Not hard to tell who's head belongs to me. Hur hur. Taipei is damn hot. Like seriously 40 degrees hot. U cant tell but i was squinting. Dunno who took this photo one.

Our first stop of the day!!! Sun Yat Sen Memorial House (or something like that. I'm obviously not a history buff) Going on a trip with 4 girls obviously ensured that visiting historical monuments was one of the lesser priorities, so this was the one and only one that we visited. Ha. Ok lar, quite worth the effort to go there. In chinese, its known as the Guo Fu Ji Nian Guan. That literally means the Memorial House of the National Father, or sthg like that. Just shows the respect the Taiwanese have for him. Apparently there's one in Singapore too. Bet u din know that rite!! Actually i also din know.

A picture of the man himself. Obviously i was the one taking the picture. I am so nice.

Yes i'm squinting again. Damn hot there. But this bronze statue of him sits in the middle of a beautiful courtyard so we cldn't resist the kodak moment. I actually wanted to do something cock like patting his head but i gathered that i would probably be stoned to death by the patriots there. So i didn't lor.

Nah, the sign on top of the building says Guo Fu Ji Nian Guan. And i put up this photo to showcase my height. Hur hur. See i dwarf zhaoxin and shihui lor. I'm so tall.

Group photo at the entrance to the memorial hall. Like the postcard effect. Think i shldn't smile all the time. Think my cool-guy look is better.

Our first lunch in Taipei. Found this Cha Chan Ting to eat, and they serve things like curry pork chop rice, which is shown in the picture, and pork chop rice. Haa all pork. Not very nice lar. Some more quite ex, about Sing 6 bucks for a meal with drinks. Think NUS Arts canteen jap food nicer. Oh, and BTC also got jap food ok! Some more cheaper than NUS. Wah!!!

The tallest building in the world!!! Yeah its called Taipei 101 cos there are 101 stories. But inside nothing good. Like Taka with all the luxury stores and high-end fashion stuff like Burberry, Calvin Klein all that. So obviously we couldn't buy anything inside lar. So what did i do to while my time away?

This!!! Paying money to scoop toys from a machine instead of buying one straight from a toy store is apparently a big fad in Taiwan. So while some of them paid abt 10 sing bucks each to take the "fastest lift in the world [as proclaimed on the poster of the lift], me shihui and zhaoxin went to the arcade. Ha.

The view from the tallest building in the world. Not very impressive hor?

The Wufenpu Ye Shi where i bought a shit load of clothes. Realise i'm actually half a girl when it comes to shopping. Its a wholesale centre where they sell lots of clothes. Me and Edmund actually bought more than the girls. Muahahaha.

Me at Wufenpu. I'm holding a ugly red plastic bag with my clothes. Kow. And i need to work out. Can see my tummy.

Power. Scooter can sit 3. Last time malaysia i see family of 5 sitting on one scooter before though. Economy of scale.

The next night market that we went. Raohe!!! Got very good food.

Smelly Tofu!!! This one quite smelly. And packaged very nicely. Eat already my breath can paralyse an elephant.

This is supposed to be a famous delicacy - Pepper biscuit or something like that. Ok only lor. We actually bought lots of food and shared around while walking. Ate so much i felt like a pig.

Forgot wat this is. Some ice-cream in popiah skin thingy. Got lots of funky food like that in Taiwan lar. Think i onli took a bite before the other hungry parasites gobbled up the rest. Heh. I took revenge by eating more chou tofu and breathing into their faces.

Jiao zi!! Winson's fav. He buy everywhere he saw them. But really quite nice lar. Think the lu bian one is even better than the Crystal Jade one lor.

Some peanut thingy. But its freaking huge.

Wooh mango ice!! A bit like ice kachang wihtout all the kacang shit inside. Damn nice and sweet. But damn ex. One bowl of ice like that cost 5 sing bucks. Kow.

Pearl Crab - or something like that. Heh. U eat the shell whole with the crab. See i told u we ate all kinds of shit in Taiwan.

Another artistic picture of me. Observe the moving people behind me, and the stationery me in front. Power lar. But that stupid tummy is sticking out again. Damn it.

YEah!! Our purchases from the first day alone!! Of cos it was my idea to spread out everything to show our sheer extravagance. But i'm always amazed at how girls can buy stuff. Kow they can buy clothes of the same design, but different color. I mean, thats like a guy buying polo shirts in different colors lar!! Oh wait, i do that too.

Ok thats all for tonight. Damn shag liao. Knn cant wait for holidays. Ha.

Though I'm still busy doing something now that i should have done weeks ago, i cant resist hlogging about this:

MY NEW CAMPUS SUX!!!

Have u ever had an innate urge or secret fantasy to experience a bangla's life? Well wait no more!! Come to BTC and u will feel like one!!!

First, you will have to plow up this super steep slope from the bus stop, ensuring that your perspiration will cause you to smell like one even before you reach your classroom.

Then, when u're in the campus itself, take a nice long look at the scenery around you. Beautiful, artistic piles of brick and dust lying around, coupled with some scenic views of half completed, with-wires-hanging-everywhere buildings, and of cos, that wonderful fresh smell of dust and concrete. Oh, and also the many, many people walking around in bright yellow helmets and yellow boots similar to yours, thus ensuring that you'll not feel out of place.

Ok its 3 30 am and i HAVE TO SLEEP. Will post photos of my "spanking new campus" soon. Argh!!!!

I interrupt my account of my Taipei trip for this bulletin: I WANT TO MARRY A JAPANESE WIFE!!!

Worked part-time at Sentosa today and last week for an event company that organised a funfair carnival thingy for some Japanese tourists. And most of them are families with very young kids and i can tell u, these Jap kids are just so darn cute lor.

So for an explanation of my new aim in life, look no further than the pictures below:

I called this one Ayumi - don't u think she got the Ayumi- seh?

They're brothers i think. The blue one is so cute that all of us wanted to take photo with him, while pinching his cheeks and saying "oooh cooochy coo..." And the other one i call Takuya. He damn shuai, just lose me abit in shuainess onli. Some more their English damn power lar. He used DIFFICULT & Throw while talking to me. I damn impressed. Ok think the photo of Takuya not seh enough. I show u one i sneakily took. heh heh.

Power rite?? Look like me when i was a kid. Think he'll grow up to be as shuai as me.

This girl also v chio. But when i ask her take photo with me, then she like damn gloomy like that. See i smile until so happy but she frown one. Mebbe she's shy around suave guys lar. Hur hur.

We called this one princess. Cos she really look like one in her get-up today. Aiyah but stupid huiting never take nicer photo so this doesn't do justice. Haa. But she damn cute. When huiting ask to take photo with her initially, she shouted very loudly: No!! then she turn away and laugh coyly. But actually she want. Act shy onli. Ha.

Shit i just realised in all my photos i did the same "peace" sign. Cock man. Should have done some thing more ooh seh while the kids act cute. Anyway this pink girl jiu wo very nice (again i wun say something so near-paedophilic like that hor. Huiting say one.) She also damn shy when i ask to take photo with her. Guess i just have this effect on girls lar. Hur hur.

Aren't they just so adorable???? Ok before u guys start thinking of me as a paedophile (which i am not, though i think Hermione Granger aka Emily Watson is so chio...), i did not force these children to take photo with me by enticing them with sweets or toys ok.

Erm, i used Twisties and Lollipops instead. Haa.

But i want these Japanese genes in my children too!!! Some more they all so guai and polite one. Will say Thank you (or Arigato) and bye bye (or sayonara), and most importantly, they're mostly very quiet. So imagine the contrast when i went to Yishun straight after the event. Haaa.

So yes, i want a Japanese wife. Anyone with lobang must intro me hor.

Wah got ppl call me yandao on my tagboard sia...THANK YOU CHIO BU!!!

Haa apparently ppl love reading about my sueyness and viewing the ugly, downtrodden photos of us posing as Banglas on the roadside. Sadists. Anyway i realise i'm very behind on my hlogging sia, cos i was supposed to hlog about my Taiwan trip years ago. I'm lazy and slack so i shall just be a photo-whore and share my photos lar. Some v funny one. And as an infinitely generous and self-sacrificing person, i also share some not-too-glam photos wiht u all lor, all in the name of hlogging. I'm such a nice guy that i shock myself sometimes. Hur hur.

Day 1 in Taipei

Yeah a photo of us at Changi airport before we took off!! I think i always look my cutest when i wear my Monkey shirt...i fit in with the geena (geena=Children-looking) girls i went with hor? Hur hur. Anyway, i went Taipei with my CAC Group 1 friends and my JC frens lar, making up 3 handsome young men, and 4 geenas. Friendship is something really amazing. 7 of us spanning 6 different faculties and majors, but yet we are close enough to go on a trip overseas. Think cos i'm the glue keeping everyone close cos everyone wants to be close to me!!

Heh..anyway the other photo is a photo we illegally snapped while sitting on the plane. Cos not supposed to "have any electronic equipment in operation during the passage of the plane" I managed to pia in time to get a nice little window seat, although as a first-timer on a budget airline, i was amazed at the amount of leg space they gave. I mean, the seat could have barely fitted a mouse lar.

I never knew that the view from the window of a airplane can be so......BORING. Ya the view of the falling landscape of Singapore was fascinating at first, but fascination soon turned into boredom cos we saw piece after piece of concrete and land, and soon followed by reams and reams of clouds. Ha. Though we did manage to see the setting sun, whihc was a really majestic view.

Also hor, for the purposes of this Hlog on my Taipei trip, please remember that i was sitting next to this Mexican guy, who looked totally scary. He was like, bent over leaning on his tray the whole time of the flight, and whenever we made some noise, as we were bound to do when u play bridge with geeenas, he would turn and "chek" us. U know, that irritating noise some ppl make when strangers irritate them.

Which brings me to this: We should lock up all these rude people who substitute a simple "I'm sorry, but could you please pipe down? I'm trying to concentrate on my reading/daydreaming/beo-ing/psycho-staring/talking-cock-with-my-friend..." with a "chek", and put Sennheiser power earphones on their ears, and blast "chek" continuously into their earphones.

Yeah!! Arrival at Chiang Kai-shek airport!!
Took damn long to clear customs though. Got a shitload of Singaporeans who went Taipei also. Can recognise these Singaporeans from the expert way they always manage to find the shortest queues. When we finally cleared customs, we had to take a shuttle bus to our hotel in Xi Men Ding, the supposed Orchard Road of Taipei. On the way there, while i was having an supremely intellecutal conversation wiht Zhaoxin, Winson used his phone to record down our conversation from the seat behind, like some claudestine spy. Cock man.

Our Hotel!!! It has an unfortunate English name: Onestar Hotel. But rest assured, its actually 3 stars. Hur.

The famous stretch of Ximending, near our hotel. We were so damn hungry after the flight (budget ma, so no food, no drinks. Damn sad) that we went straight to eat....

Smelly Tofu!!! Yesh its damn smelly!!! Like my foot after i soak it in drain water, put on socks that i haven't wash for 10 days, and then play soccer in those socks for 3 hours. But this store one is just smelly, but not that nice lar. LAter show u the nicest tofu i ate. And its not a girl's... sad.

K lar, first day nothing much. Though we did go back to our hotel rooms and engaged in our fav activity of channel surfing. I tell u, Taiwan TV has a lot of crap man. Tell u more in the next entry. Too shag liao.
