Wah work is really piling up! I've got fake lawyer letters to write, and elections to go for. Yeap once again the yearly CSC elections is upon us, and this Saturday will be another marathon session. Hopefully it won't be as much of a marathon as last year.

14 Hrs.

Yeap.

Anyways, I've graduated. Had to mention this cos i'm posting my Grad photos today!

My usual law buddies. Heavily male-dominated i must say. Pretty girls are welcome to join. Oh I din see Aileen there. Ok MORE pretty girls are welcome to join.

The parents. Most people say i look as handsome as my dad. I dare you to differ.

The Board of Governors on stage. Not very awe-inspiring but quite seh lar. President was there as well. I shook hand with the President ok! Got picture some more! But haven scan yet, scan already then show.

After Convocation! Hence the funny hat.

Zhenqin! Yes he came down just to take photo with me. Also helped me record down the webcast of me stumbling on stage. Thanks bro!

Almost ascending order. Alvin is 3m tall if i'm not wrong.

The Dean and us. He was like Jay Chou that day, what with the millions of people taking photos with him. We had to queue to get a photo lor.

My best fwen Chloe!! Yes she chiong down from NUH to take photo with me too!

And yes, Carine came down too! But much much later lar. Ha.

Ok thats all i have time for. Gotta rush tutorial liao. Sibei sian.

Sometimes we all need companions. Someone to talk to, someone to confide in. Someone to share your woes, someone to drink with. Someone to talk cock to, someone to joke with.

Its rare when you do find that one person you can do all these with. And when you don't, do seek out your friends, your compatriots to share. They will listen, and they will help.

Thats what we are here for.

Yoz!! Back from sunny Phuket and back to rainy Singapore!

Not.

I can't believe how suey we were lor.

It rained non-stop (incessantly, continuously) for the ENTIRE time i was there.

I mean, people talk about going Phuket for a tan, for a swim, and to give that deathly pale pallor of skin a lovely brownish color.

I actually think i got Whiter from my weekend stint.

That's not to say i did not have fun lar, though it would have been so much more enjoyable (and probably more beautiful) if the sun had peeked out a little more than it did.

Ah but first, the hotel. Now the first thing i do when i check into a hotel is to draw the curtains, and check out the view. (Oh wait, that's the SECOND thing i do; the first is to check whether the toilet got those wash backside sprays...)

And this is my beautiful view:
Yeah! What an achingly beautiful zinc plate coated with rust and paint! Then we decided, ok lar, maybe the hotel view not that good. But we're living just opposite the beach! So of cos we shld head down to the beach and take in that breathtaking panoramic view!

Yeap. This is what greeted us when we stepped on the beach. Oh and that lovely chime of thunder in the background.
Seriously, me and Carine kept wondering: why the hell do people call Phuket paradise on earth. This stretch of beach is Patong Beach, which is apparently the most populous beach there. I was like, huh, we at East Coast ah?

Yes, a picture paints a thousand words.
Oh, and this is our hotel. 3 star only, so explains the cheapness. 90 bucks for 2 nites. But its frills-free, and service-free at that.

Freaking sleepy now. Yak more tml then.

Off to sunny Phuket for 3 days, and i'll be back all bronzed and muscly.

In the meanwhile, don't miss me too much. Back with pictures to share.

Oh, and please pray for me (for the Christians out there) that it doesn't rain in Phuket. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE.

Been a long long long time since i wrote anything here. But i've come to realise that a blog is perhaps the best way your friends can keep in touch with your happenings, your life, the good things, and the not-so-good things happening around you. Feeling particularly sentimental tonight, perhaps as a consequence of having to finish up my god-forsaken assignments, and of course while waiting for the long-awaited debut of Carlos Tevez in a matter of minutes.

First up, a short update on what i've been doing with my little life. There's that little thing we call PLC (or Postgraduate Law Course) which has been consuming my waking hours. Not. Ok for the benefit of my non-law friends, who have been asking me for the umpteenth time what PLC means, it simply means a Lecture/Tutorial course over 5 months that will culminate in a very NUS-like Exam. And must pass hor, dun play play one. No pass, no lawyering. Oh but i do get paid in the meantime lar, so neh neh li bu bu to all u poor students.

Dave's Wedding!

We were invited to Dave's wedding last week on National Day and it was a funny feeling to spend National Day celebrating a wedding, but it turned out to be a blast! But on the way to the hotel on the train, got Carine to narrate to me what was going on during the parade. Yes i know i sound suaku, but hey! The world's biggest floating platform stage ok! Mai siao siao!

Dave kindly invited about 20 of us, and we had 2 tables at Novotel, and because i so handsome, i got to sit at the 9 people table, which meant i had 1 1/9 portion of food. Heh heh. But from the hotel we had a fantastic view of the fireworks from the Esplanade area, so the emcees actually cued us to go out to the main foyer to watch the fireworks. Amidst the many awws and fwahs, i must say it was quite romantic to get married on that day, with the fireworks providing a brilliant and illuminating symbol of their marriage. Ok getting too mushy...nah here's the pics

The bride and the groom. But i sitting corner so no nice angle. Sian. Groom looked dapper in a suit, and the bride looked stunning in that turquoise dress.
Mr and Mrs Lim. Looking cock and sian at the same time. (I know they'll kill me for putting this up, but I am quite big sized now.)

My table! Carine says i look huge in this picture cos the girls are all so small-sized. Shit.

All of us!! Hee one big CSC gathering hor this one? Oh and check out EK and Zin, we commented that they did look like the bride and the groom, what with the suit on him and the white dress on her. Oh and check out chloe's oriental get-up. SIA/Malaysia/Philipino hybrid girl.

Food was ok i guess, typical chinois fare like shark's fin, chicken and the dish to end all hungry palettes, orh ni. Oh and i went up for my first-ever yam seng!! Ha the funny thing was, all the CSC guys who went up, went up with orange juice in their glasses. So u see the uncles and aunties in front yam seng-ing with their champagne, while we kids yam with our orange. Cool.

On a sadder note, today i went for CSC Outreach back at good old NUS, and amidst all the usual talkin cock, silly comments, and the meeting of good old frens, i did feel a sentimental pang of sadness knowing that today marks the 2nd last week of my term in office. I can't believe that a year has flown by like that. As i sat chatting with the freshies, and using my considerable charms to psycho them to join our little family, it juz came to me that this would be the last time i would be doing this for CSC. And that very soon, all of us will be forgotten, our time here will simply be crystallised in those beautiful Love Tuner magazines and emails that we've sent out over the past few months. Of cos the single thing i miss most about our term, must be the many, many friendships we've buiilt over the past year. Our meetings, notoriously long, but yet immensely enjoyable and fun. Laughter resounds through the entire clubroom and i cant remember the countless fat jokes we've made at poor janicia's expense. But kudos to her for being a good sport lar.

Gonna miss you all my mates.

Can feel more poignant entries in me.

To all still in NUS, treasure your time in this little family we've built.

It was simply breathtaking to take in the sights of Hokkaido, what with the wonderful scenery and the numerous hot springs. Must show off the photos we took. got about 2000 lor, when i get home. heh heh.
